Eifel Race at Nürburgring

The 69th Eifel race took place on the Nürburgring from June 18th to June 20th, 2010. The weather was of course typical of the Eifel. Sunshine, fog and rain showers alternated.
As I was already at the Nürburgring on Thursday, I took the opportunity to drive a lap around the Nordschleife myself. It became even clearer to me what these tracks demand of the car and driver. I can only recommend that everyone try it for themselves, but please don't overdo it, because one mistake and you'll be stuck in the guard rail.
The "Eifel race" event was a successful mix of different vehicle classes. Vehicles from the pre-war era to racing cars from the 80s/90s could be seen and, above all, heard. When you hear these engine sounds, you just can't get used to the idea that cars will drive without them in the future.
The historic paddock was set up and decorated for the oldest vehicles, which gave the whole thing a very special atmosphere.
